A SUPERB PRIVATE COLLECTION, INCLUDING FULL CASES OF 1961 LATOUR, HAUT BRION, CHEVAL BLANC, GRUAUD LAROSE AND PALMER. ALSO FEATURING SIX BOTTLES OF THE ULTRA-RARE LE MONTRACHET 1978 FROM LA DOMAINE DE LA ROMANEE-CONTI
It is our great pleasure to open the afternoon session with this superb collection of rare wines. The cellar has been meticulously compiled by the present owner and we are very privileged to be able to offer this small portion. The collection includes many of the great wines of the famed 1961 vintage - a full case of Latour, three cases of Haut Brion, a case of Cheval Blanc, two cases of Palmer and a parcel of four cases of Gruaud Larose. All the wines have been removed from an impeccable temperature and humidity controlled cellar in central London. The collection also features six dozen bottles of the sublime Petrus 1989 in previously unopened, original wooden cases. The final lot from this cellar is six bottles of the ultra-rare Le Montrachet 1978 from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in it's original wooden case.
