Seated over a pair of corpses on a lotus base, her hands supporting a kalasha in her lap, wearing a flayed elephant skin and a garland of severed heads around her shoulders, armbands, necklace and a skull diadem, her face with traces of red lacquer

Lot Essay

This bronze figure is a depiction of Bodong Namkha Sanggye Gonpo, a rare example of statue likely used in a rite related to the Bodong tradition of Simhamukha, the Lion-Faced Dakini.
