The upper frieze inset with carved stained horn, with scrolling foliage, reclining figures, musicians and animals, above fourteen drawers, all with a diaper pattern and ripple-moulded edge and a cabinet centred by a portrait medallion with the motto PATRIA QUE PATRI QUE and enclosing an ebony and kingwood-veneered interior, the stand with three further ripple-moulded drawers, a scrolled apron with turned pendant drops and turned column supports on a plinth base, probably originally with two doors and with later adaptations and restorations.
