"Lastly - a great surprise - a magnum bottled by Findlater Mackie, bought in the early 1960s and well cellared since: richly coloured, still impressively deep; beautiful nose with characteristic though toned down Lynch-Bages 'cassis', a touch of sweetness, nice weight, soft, rounded, harmonious, with well assimilated tannins. A perfect drink. Last noted at a Sunday lunch in Gloucestershire at Clare and David Carter's, May 2001 ***** At peak." MB, Vintage Wine
