A one-page typed letter of 5 lines, signed, from 28 Hyde Park Gate, London S.W.7, 14 May 1959, to Mr. Piggott, stating: "I am so much obliged to you for sending me the copy of the story from the Harmsworth Magazine in 1899. It is entertaining for me to have this early literary venture and I am grateful to you for your thought of me" (creased on folds), with the original stamped, addressed envelope.
