Lot Essay

The arms and crest are those of Moreton, probably for Thomas Reynolds Moreton, 2nd Baron Ducie, of Tortworth, who assumed by Act of Parliament, in 1771, the surname and arms of Moreton. He was born 26 October 1733, married 20 February 1774, Margaret, daughter of Sir John Ramden, Bt. of Byrom, Co. York. He died 11 September 1785.
