A MUGHAL IVORY POWDER FLASK
India, 17th century
The curved horn formed from four sections of tusk joined together, carved in the round and in relief, one end with the head and forelegs of a bull brought down by a tiger, the other with the head of an antelope, the sides with reliefs of fighting elephants and fighting tiger and bull within frames, separated by bands of immitation cord, metal attachments missing, slight discoloration in parts
8 1/8in. (20.5cm.) long
