Lot Essay

Latouche was inaugerated in the Palais d'Industrie under Meissonier and Puvis. He was a painter born out of classical tradition, widely respected in his day. He was awarded many medals, including a gold in 1900, and was made Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in 1900, and Officier in 1909. His works are conserved in Paris and Alencon.
