Lot Essay

Busi was a student at the Academy of Bologna. He moved to Rome where he met Fracassini, Faruffi and Fortuni. He decorated many palazzo murals in Bologna. He was awarded prizes in Brera in 1875 and Vienna in 1882. He was a teacher at the Academy of Milan and at the Academy of Bologna. He mainly painted historic and genre subjects.
