The Christian Dior couture lots included in this section were made for Lady Abdy by the house of Christian Dior. Lady Abdy was a protegé of Christian Dior and especially of his glamorous chief stylist and milliner, Mitza Bricard. She was dressed by Dior himself for special occasions, such as Ascot. The warm relationship with Mme Bricard continued after the death of Christian Dior in 1956 for many years as seen from the robes offered here.
