Painted with a vignette of merchants before a harbour, the reverse with merchants before a fleet of ships, within gilt-scrolled quatrefoil cartouche issuing iron-red and puce scrolls, enclosing Böttger-lustre panels, the cover painted with a similar scene of merchants, the handle moulded with gilt leaf ornament, the spout richly gilt (cover matched, minute footrim chipping, some flaking to gilt rims and handle, minute chipping to tip of spout)
