Of flattened elongated oval section, the ground of the sides and cover reserved with cartouches, the front and reverse with two wooded river-landscape vignettes with figures and churches within quatrefoil gilt cartouches, the cover with with a river-landscape with merchants, boats and a tower, within a gilt line footrim, the cover with with a river-landscape with merchants, boats and a tower, within a similar cartouche (cover cracked and restuck, one end of box restored, base with wear)
