The vines of this vineyard, unlike most of the Côte, are planted north-south rather than up and down the slope, a sensible design that protects against erosion yet offers efficient drainage. The stony, limestone based, clay mixed soils produce a full-bodied wine that retains a feminine quality that is recognized as its signature.
