Rectangular, the front enamelled with a diagonal yellow and blue stripe and engraved with the initials "L.R." and "St. Amant, Derby 1904" -- 2ins. (5cms.)

Further details
The enamelled stripe represents the blue jacket and yellow cap racing colours of Mr Leopold de Rothschild. His horse, St. Amant, won the 1904 Epsom Derby. Noteworthy for being run during a thunderstorm, St. Amant led the race from start to finish, winning by three lengths at 5-1 to collect prize money of 6,450 pounds. He was ridden by Walter Kempton Cannon, son of Tom Cannon.
