A VICTORIAN SILVER-MOUNTED DRESSING TABLE SET
SOME PIECES WITH MARK OF JOHN HARRIS, LONDON, 1854
Each piece engine turned centring engraved initials below a coronet, comprising: 11 various silver-mounted glass jars, a hand mirror and various implements, all contained in a fitted ebonised wood box with brass mounts - the case 14 3/8in. (36.4cm.) long
The initials are apparently those of Adelaide Horatia Elizabeth Spencer, daughter of Sir Horace Beauchamp Seymour who married Frederick Spencer, fourth Earl Spencer (1798-1857) in 1854.
