An inlaid shibuichi flower vase, late 19th Century, signed Ozeki sei
with flattened spherical pierced body dividing the splayed angular square-sectioned neck and lower section, the irregular form panels worked in honzogan in gold, silver, copper and shakudo, and in low relief with panels of ducks, dragons, birds in flight, butterflies, leaves, scrolling foliage and geometric designs, the body with a group of monkeys playing and with crabs escaping from baskets decorated in gold and copper takazogan, silver inner casing and mounts, oval seal Ozeki sei - 10in. (25.4cm.) high.
