signed on the arc Heath & Company, New Eltham, London and numbered X640 with silvered scale, three-circle pattern frame, seven shades, mirrors, adjustable telescope mounting, vernier scale with magnifier, index arm -- 6½in. (16.5cm.) radius, with accessories in mahogany case -- 11in. (28cm.) wide
The original owner of this instrument was Flt. Lt. David Alexander Jones D.S.C. of the Royal Air Force Marine Service. Photocopy of press cuttings related to this officers career is included with this lot.
