with "60 second interval" make/break electrical contacts, the silvered dial signed and numbered Thomas Mercer 26748, Arabic hour numerals, subsidiary seconds dial with cut-away sector showing electric contact assembly, up-and-down dial, blued steel hands, Earnshaw escapement, cut bi-metallic balance, cylindrical heat compensation weights, Mercer flat-strip steel detent with jewelled locking pallet to side, palladium helical balance spring, brass bowl and gimbal, frosted metallic finish to all brass fittings, 2-tier mahogany box with glazed top lid and two external electric terminals -- 7¼in. (18.5cm.) square
