A planked and rigged ¼in:1ft scale model of the Gloucester gaff rigged market schooner 'Nimbus' of 1872 built by F. Schaffner with masts and booms, standing and running rigging and deck details including anchors, windlass, horses, bitts, belaying rails and pins, companionways, hatches, gratings, deck lights, stove pipes, ship's wheel, dory, rope coils and members of the crew. The solid hull, with planked and pinned deck is finished in brown, green, black and white with natural wood deck and mounted on two turned brass columns and with schooner's carved planked seine boat with net, thwarts, oars and water barrels -- 22½ x 33in.
