The rectangular case with caddy lid and urn-form finials, the arched glazed door enclosing a silver chapter ring and matt center with false pendulum aperture and calendar aperture within figural and scrolled spandrels and with maker's signature above, the angles mounted with female term figures continuing to pendant foliage in scrolling bracket feet, decorated throughout with chinoiseries on a cell-pattern ground, the triple fusee movement with anchor escapement and playing a tune on six bells with strike/no strike lever, the backplate engraved with scrolling foliage
