The rectangular coffer-form hinged top surmounted by grape clusters, opening to a lead-lined well over a conforming tapering case centered by a laurel wreath, on later paw feet, the lock stamped BP
30 in. (76 cm.) high, 34 in. (86 cm.) wide, 22 in. (56 cm.) deep

The design of this wine cooler closely relates to a drawing by P. and M.A. Nicholson. The Practical Cabinet-Maker, Upholsterer and Complete Decorator, 1826 (see (E.T. Joy, The Pictorial Dictionary of British 19th Century Furniture Design, Woodbridge, 1977, p. 427).
