The design of this wine cooler closely relates to a drawing by P. and M.A. Nicholson. The Practical Cabinet-Maker, Upholsterer and Complete Decorator, 1826 (see (E.T. Joy, The Pictorial Dictionary of British 19th Century Furniture Design, Woodbridge, 1977, p. 427).
