Lot Essay

Ernst Gustave Jaeger was born in Berlin 1880. He specialised in nude figures of young men, portrait busts and animal groups (mainly of monkeys, horses, bulls, deers and dogs). He was strongly influenced by the prehistoric art of the Dordogne.
