This pendant may belong to a recognisable group of Greek Islands and Asia Minor works of the Geometric period characterised by a central star motif and false granulation. There are similarities to Etruscan work but no exact parallels. Cf. F. H. Marshall, Catalogue of the Jewellery, Greek, Etruscan, and Roman in the Departments of Antiquities, British Museum, London, 1969, pp. 94 and 100, pl. XIII, nos 1159 and 1212 for similar.
