A ROMAN GLASS AND FAIENCE BEAD NECKLACE WITH THREE GOLD PENDANTS
CIRCA 2ND-3RD CENTURY A.D.
Composed of blue faience disc beads between iridescent glass bossed beads, with three gold pendants, two with the figure of Fortuna holding cornucopia and rudder, the third with bust of Helios, 10 in. (26 cm.) long; a gold bead and faience necklace composed of 12 tubular blue faience mummy beads interspersed with 11 gold beads of seed-pod form, one with similar pod-shaped pendant, 5th Century B.C., 12 in. (31 cm.) long; and a blue faience and amethyst lentoid shaped glass bead necklace, 1st Century B.C./A.D., 11½ in. (29 cm.) long, all restrung; a steatite scarab, Dynasty XIX, 1295-1186 B.C., 5/8 in.
