A NEAR EASTERN TERRACOTTA VESSEL IN THE FORM OF A LADEN DONKEY
EARLY IRON AGE, CIRCA 1000-750 B.C.
Carrying two panniers either side of a central aperture, a strap handle behind, wearing an incised and dot punched harness, the mouth in the form of a spout; and a painted terracotta horse, standing with tall upright neck and erect ears, remains of white slip with red and yellow painted linear decoration, repaired with some restoration, circa 750-600 B.C., Central Palestine
