THREE EGYPTIAN GESSO-PAINTED WOOD ANTHROPOID MASKS
LATE 2ND-1ST MILLENNIUM B.C.
Each with remains of painted decoration, 6½ to 11 in. (16.5 to 28 cm.) high; a Romano-Egyptian terracotta dog, with bulla around the neck, traces of painted decoration, 1st Century B.C.-2nd Century A.D., 4¼ in. (10.8 cm.) long; a white painted terracotta shabti for Ankh-ef-en-khonsu, with black painted details including a single column of hieroglyphs, Third Intermediate Period (1069-702 B.C.), 4¼ in. (10.8 cm.) high; a blue glazed composition shabti for Nesy-amun, with black glazed details, Dynasty XXI-XXII (1069-715 B.C.), 4 5/8 in. (11.8 cm.) high; two turquoise glazed composition shabtis with incised details, the larger shabti for Hathor-em-akhet, 4th-3rd Century B.C., 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) high max.; an Egyptian red ware pottery bowl, probably Predynastic, 6 5/8 in. (16.7 cm.) diam.; two miniature glazed composition amulets, a funerary scarab, a pottery head and textile fragment, 1st millennium B.C. and later(a lot)
