Letter signed ('Nelson & Bronte') to Rear Admiral Sir Richard Bickerton, 2nd Bart, Victory at Sea, 21 March 1804, granting his request to have 'Mr Boyes', Purser of the Kent, seconded as his secretary on the Royal Sovereign, 2 pages, folio (light staining to blank lower margin of verso).
Bickerton had been Nelson's second-in-command in the Mediterranean on the resumption of war in 1803.
