Nelson's: a fine and large quantity of dark blonde coloured hair loosely folded in a paper wrap; Wellington's: a good length of dark hair kept in a figure '8' within a folded length of tissue paper inscribed on the end Cut 1802 and with a note dated Sep 13th, 1807 from Wellington's secretary requesting a visit to James Diamond, Court Hairdresser. Whilst Nelson and Wellington famously met only the once when Nelson detained the Arthur Wellesley in the ante-room in the Colonial Office and ignored him on his exit, it is amusing to now know that they used the same hairdresser.
