Engraved frontispiece, engraved title, and 24 full page engravings. (Scattered spotting mostly to first and last few leaves). Publisher's brown cloth, sides blind-panelled, upper side titled in gilt (rebacked preserving part of the original spine).
Provenance: R.C. Fiske, North Walsham (bookplate). The first suite of 12 engravings in particular show Emma Hamilton in various poses taken from Renaissance painting and classical sculptures, the 'attitudes' for which she was celebrated throughout Europe.
