A SMALL NISHAPUR WHITE AND BROWN GLAZED POTTERY BOWL, IRAN, 10TH CENTURY
Painted to the interior with stylised calligraphy below a scalloped band, the exterior painted with leaf motifs alternating with oval panels reserved with vertical stripes -- 5in. (12.7cm.) diam.
