TWO SIMILAR HOSHIAPUR IVORY INLAID WOODEN BOXES, INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
Each recangular in form on short feet and with with hinged lid opening to reveal various compartments, some with covers, and a mirror, the exterior with inlaid ivory arabesques, the front of each with a pair of addorsed birds, with ivory and ebony stringing on the edges and with brass brackets protecting the corners - Each 15¼in. (39cm.) across (2)
