A Burmese lacquered wood male figure of a king
late 19th century
Carved in standing posture on a circular base, his right hand raised in front of his breast and holding myrobalan, the lower stretched downwards along his body, wearing loincloth which end falls at the front, a jacket with long sleeves, its border decorated with coloured mica, his head tilted to the right, serene expression, earlobes with glass bead ear ring, his hairdress combed into a chignon and secured by a twisted ribbon set with a shaped ornament
