Circa 1760, incised C9
Painted in camaïeu rose and enriched in gilt with a rosette, the border moulded and enriched in gilt with six palm scrolls, garlands of flowers suspended from bows centered beneath
9¾ in. (24.7 cm.) diameter
Provenance
Louis XV for the château de Fontainbleau, original delivery in 1757 followed by several supplements through 1788.

Lot Essay

A large part of this exstensive royal service was sold by Christie's Monaco, 7 December 1987, lot 253. More recently, as single plate from the collection of Charles-Otto Zieseniss was sold Christie's Paris, 5 December 2001, lot 120.
