A PAIR OF FRENCH PATINATED BRONZE, ORMOLU AND WHITE MARBLE FOUR-LIGHT CANDELABRA

Each in the form of a classically-clad female figure holding a pair of urns issuing four scrolling candlebranches with feather-cast drip-pans, centrally joining in a spiral twist grapevine surrounding a central spire, on a circular pedestal supported by winged griffins issuing bow-knot tied swags, on a shaped base ending in engine-turned feet

Lot Essay
A pair of candelabra of very similar model but with verde antico pedestal supports and ormolu griffins was sold from the collection of Nelson Grimaldi Seabra, Christie's, New York, 22 October 2003, lot 72.
