The rectangular grey and red marble top with outset corners above the fall-front decorated with a bureau plat with reading utensils and vases of flowers below drapery, enclosing a fitted tulipwood interior with four short drawers and three pigeon-holes, above a long drawer with numerous vessels, flanked by pilasters with simulated fluting and the sides with cube parquetry, on square tapering legs with inset corners and conforming later feet, mounts probably original and regilt, the top inscribed in black ink JP "Ro sans ...
