Excellent appearance and level
The 1991 Romanee-Conti reveals a deep color, but there is less color saturation than that possessed by La Tache or Grands Echezeaux. Backward and medium to full-bodied, this is the most closed and impenetrable of all the 1991 DRC wines. No doubt its pedigree and breeding will emerge, but for now, I must rate the Grands Echezeaux and La Tache higher. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #90 (Dec 1993)
