A NEW TERRESTRIAL GLOBE Published by G. Woodward LONDON 1845 made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores and two polar calottes, with graduated equatorial and ecliptic, the oceans with an analemma and the tracks of Cook, Gore, Vancouver and Biscoe, with various notes such as H.M.S. Guardian struck Hereabout and Campbells 1810 uninhabited, the Antarctic with tiny stretches of coastline shown and also with dates and notes, the continents with some nation states shaded green, finely detailed with towns, cities and rivers (some very neat restoration);
BALE AND WOODWARD'S NEW Celestial GLOBE made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores laid to the celestial poles, with graduated equatorial, ecliptic with twilight zone and four colures, the pictorial constellations with stars to six orders of magnitude with variables and nebulae (some very neat restoration);
both with engraved brass hour dial and meridian circle, the mahogany stand with hand-coloured engraved horizon ring showing degrees of amplitude and azimuth, compass directions and days of the month and of the houses of the Zodiac, raised on three baluster-turned legs united by cross-stretchers -- 27cm.
