A mid 19th-Century lacquered-brass 1¾-inch table telescope,
signed on the backplate Horne & Co. 123. Newgate St London, the 18½in. long body-tube with dust cap, rack and pinion focusing and threaded end cap, raised via a compass joint to a tapering column and folding tripod foot, with extension tube, one smoked and two clear eyepieces, in the fitted mahogany case (several fittings loose) with two brass hooks and eyes -- 55.5cm. (21 7/8in.) long
