signed Davis, Derby and further engraved on the first draw To adjust by sliding in the second draw, with dust cap and sliding eyepiece cover, the brass sleeve mounting on a compass joint from a short column, the base unthreading to reveal a mounting screw, with one spare eyepiece in a plush-lined leather-covered case (much deteriorated, one lid end piece missing) -- 13.3cm.
