A rare Henrietta Wade wax pedlar doll
of deep pink colour with painted features, elaborately plaited blond hair and elegant hands, wearing original print frock, red wool hooded cape, cotton full-sleeved blouse and underclothes, carrying a basket of wares including purses, worked rugs, pincushions, booklets, skeins of wool, ribands, cards and beads, under dome with label reading 'Henrietta', mid 19th century --10in. (25cm.) high (damaged at wait and three fingers missing)
