A Regency teapot
of compressed inverted pear shape, on a rising circular foot and with a chased mask spout with bird's head terminal, polished wood scroll handle and domed hinged cover with detachable bud and foliate finial, chased overall with rococo flowers, foliage, C-scrolls and scalework and with two vacant cartouches, Joseph Angell, London 1816, the finial probably later, apparently unmarked - 5½in. (14cm.), 21.25oz.
