A RARE .650 CALIBRE FLINTLOCK PATTERN 1813 BAKER VOLUNTEER CAVALRY CARBINE
circa 1820-30
With 19¾in. rebrowned twist smooth-bore barrel moulded at the breech, signed 'E. Baker London' and fitted with iron blade fore-sight, case-hardened breech tang with no provision for back-sight, plain bevelled lock with stepped tail, signed 'E. Baker', semi-rainproof pan, roller and pierced cock, walnut full stock (saddle-ring bar removed), full regulation brass mounts, and stirrup ramrod, London proof marks, barrelmaker's mark SP, a fleur-de-lys above
