CIRCA 1882, THE BOX LINED, THE PORCELAIN PROBABLY MARKED WITH A BLUE SCEPTRE AND Sgr.P FOR BERLIN
Of rectangular form surmounted by a scroll and shell handle flanked by busts of putti, the hinged cover composed of four panels painted with vignettes of eighteenth century couples in garden landscapes, fitted at the corners with cast cornucopiae issuing flowers, the conforming box with baroque style mount centering a gaping mask escutcheon, flanked by caryatid putti standing atop rocaille-scroll feet
