DATE CYPHER FOR 1894, GILT CROWNED GLOBE AND IMPRESSED UPPERCASE MARK, SHAPE NO. 3159, SIGNED L.(OUIS) SOLON
Of waisted cylindrical form, the domed cover with gilt berried finial, the rim pierced and enriched with a band of anthemion, flanked by rocaille-scroll handles, finely painted and hand tooled in white slip with Cupid tying a wreath of thorns, the reverse with a curved branch of thorns and four impaled putti, on a conforming circular foot
