Each of baluster form, the domed cover surmounted with paired billing doves, finely painted in the manner of Watteau with a fête galantes, entitled either 'Le Printemps' or 'La Promenade á Versailles', within an elaborate raised-gilt foliate rocaille-trellis cartouche, flanked by angular upright harp-handles surmounted by a seated putto holding a tasselled rope, the reverse with a riverside château, on a conforming socle, the bracket base cast with tasselled drapery centering a French Royal heraldic shield
