A large Napoleon III ormolu and cut glass centrepiece-candelabrum, on marble base
Third quarter 19th Century
The oval scalloped glass dish flanked to each side by a five-light candelabrum and supported on a tapering stem and platform mounted with a pair of dancing maidens and putti, supported below by acanthus-cast scrolled brackets centred to the front and back by an associated oval portrait medallion, the shaped base mounted to front and back with a pair of music-making putti, and to the sides with a piping maiden, on tapering fluted feet, on an associated veined red marble plinth
The centrepiece: 37½ in. (95.2 cm.) high; 33 in. (83.8 cm.) wide; 11¾ in. (29.8 cm.) deep
