QIANLONG (1736-95), POSSIBLY BEIJING ENAMEL
Each with globular central section and tall widely flaring necks, finely enamelled on a turqoise-blue ground with iron-red shou roundels, stiff leaves, and petals, all amongst delicately enamelled cornucopia and sprays of flowers including peony, lily, lotus and other exotic flowers, the rims with narrow key pattern bands and the interiors enamelled in a pale turquoise-blue, some areas of restoration

Lot Essay

Although not visible from the exterior, it would appear that the flaring lower section has been made separately and joined to the central and upper section with metal straps, which are visible from the underside and the interior.
