A FAMILLE ROSE DEEP PLATE
YONGZHENG (1723-35)
Delicately enamelled at the centre with two birds perched amongst peony, chrysanthemum, rose and daisy sprays, two insects hovering in flight between them, all within a foliate-shaped panel reserved on a puce foliage ground below a blue enamel band of densely scrolling foliage at the sides, the everted border with a bianco-sopra-bianco band of various flowers amongst frond-like leaves and smaller foliage, and a band of puce foliage overlapped by gilt leaves at the rim
