Of square section, carved on the top with a Buddhist lion, its left foreleg raised resting on its young, the mane and tails finely detailed, the seal face with a seven-character inscription in seal script, one side with a two-character maker's mark Chu Qiao, the stone predominantly of a blood red tone with well used cream inclusions
