In the Louis XV style, rectangular, the cover, four sides and base inset with glazed water color and gouache miniatures, the cover depicting ruins of a classical temple, the sides and base with differing views of ruined bridges, the varicolored gold cagework with laurel bands above laurel swags, with fluted pilasters at the sides, apparently unmarked
